Objective 1: Facilitate access to and dissemination of key knowledge materials prepared by TAYAR Nepal by creating and launching online web portal for MuAN’s PMLCs

To ensure the online portal meets the needs of its users, a brief assessment will be conducted to determine the specific requirements for the portal. This assessment will involve engaging with stakeholders, including PMLCs and municipal officials, to gather input and feedback on the portal's design and functionality. Their insights will help tailor the portal to be as effective and user-friendly as possible, ensuring it serves as a valuable resource for all users.

Following the assessment, collaboration with IT professionals will be initiated to design and develop the online portals. A total of 9 portals will be developed, 1 for each PMLC. The design will focus on creating a user-friendly and accessible platform, integrating features such as a searchable database, resource library, and forums for discussion and knowledge exchange. These features will facilitate easy access to and dissemination of DRRM knowledge materials, enhancing the overall user experience and effectiveness of the portal. Once the portals are developed, the next step will be integrating them with MuAN’s central web portal so that key knowledge materials prepared by MuAN and TAYAR Nepal, including reports, training manuals, videos, and other resources can be easily uploaded from all the portals and easily accessible. To ensure the portal remains current and useful, a content management system will be established. This system will allow for regular updates and maintenance of the portal, continuously providing new and relevant materials to its users.

The portal will be officially launched during the national workshop, and promoted through various communication channels. This promotion will ensure widespread awareness and usage of the portal, allowing it to reach its full potential as a resource for DRRM knowledge dissemination.
